Last year, we were honoured to win the Custom Built Home of the Year award (in the 750-900k category, and across all price categories) at the HIA-CSR ACT & Southern NSW Housing Awards.
This meant that we were automatically accepted as finalists in the national HIA awards, which will be held in Singapore from 10-12 May, 2018. These awards recognise excellence in home building from around the country.
The date is fast approaching, and though we are unable to attend due to current work commitments, we are excited to be recognised among some of Australia’s best builders.
So what does it take to build a home worthy of a place in the HIA finals?
Here are a few common themes we have noticed from this year’s finalists…
Attention to detail in construction techniques
Incredible work by designers to achieve light-filled spaces
Seamless flooring between outdoor and indoor spaces
Striking use of timber
Sculpted ceilings (i.e.: curved/angled) and soaring ceiling heights
Internal windows that allow light to seep in from other rooms
Refined use of colour and materials
Rosin Bros are proud of our entry, and the effort that goes into a successful project – from the home owners’ input, to the designer, suppliers, subcontractors, and the Rosin Bros team.
We wish all the entrants luck at the national HIA awards!
